Frédéric De Narp Cartier CEO Resigns And Is Now Harry Winston President

Less than 24 hours after Frédéric de Narp's official departure as president and CEO of Cartier North America, his new position has been announced. De Narp is the new president and chief executive officer of Harry Winston, Inc., which is owned by Harry Winston Diamond Corp. De Narp joined Cartier in 1991, and was named president and CEO of Cartier North America in 2005. He is often credited with updating the brand's image and improving its celebrity relations, most notably with the launch of the very popular Love campaign.

Oscar De La Renta Get His License Back Settles Lawsuit Aganist Loreal And YSL

In 2008, De La Renta filed a lawsuit that claimed Elizabeth Arden (Loreal) was selling his fragrance products to mass market retailers (Target) (Wal-Mart) that had only been authorised for use as promotional material. Loreal claimed they were buying the products from YSL Beaute' and that any issue should be taken up with YSL Beaute'. For the last two years Loreal, YSL and De La Renta have been battling it out but somehow Oscar De La Renta manage to get his fragrance license back from YSL Beaute' as of Friday December 18, 2009.

Now he does not have to worry about his fragrance popping up in random spots like Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart lol. It was a tragedy to find his fragrance merchandised in such places lol. YSL never sold any of their fragrances to Wal-Mart etc so what made them think Oscar De La Renta would permit such madness. Tragic!

While christmas shopping, I discovered a really whimsical jewelry shop at Etsy. I have always been a fan of spiders and skeletons but hesitate to actually wear them. That was until I purchased a necklace and ring from Edmdesigns. The jewelry is gothic chic very easy to wear and great conversational pieces. 19 Year Old Model Jordan Dunn Gives Birth It's A Boy

19-year-old model Jourdan Dunn gave birth to a boy on last Tuesday afternoon; so her son and Gisele's son were either born on the same day, or just hours apart. Dunn has been with her boyfriend for five years. The daring model even walked the runway seven months pregnant for Jean Paul Gaultier's show. Her agency hasn't said whether she'll walk the shows again in February, but a rep says, "Jourdan is really well and super happy."

First McQueen Now Balenciaga Sues Steve Madden For Stealing

Balenciaga filed a lawsuit against Steve Madden for allegedly copying the label's multicolor Lego heels from the fall 2007 collection. Filed on Tuesday in United States Eastern District of New York Court, the complaint states that Steve Madden "intentionally copied" the fall 2007 footwear.

Steve Madden was also sued in October by Alexander McQueen for copying its black Faithful bootie. Both of the designers have to much time on their hands, these shoes

Jimmy Choo Founder Tamara Mellon Wins The Lawsuit Against Her Mother

The legal case between Tamara Mellon and her mother has been settled, after a legal battle that has been ongoing since 2008. The iconic shoe guru and founder of Jimmy Choo received $6 million from 70-year-old Ann Yeardye her mother, a former Chanel model, after the two camps came to a settlement last week.

The pair clashed after Tamara Mellon, who made $100 million from her footwear empire, sold the shoe label to an investment group; but an accounting error meant some shares were mistakenly transferred to a family account run by Mrs Yeardye. Yeardye allegedly refused to return them, calling the claims that a mistake had been made "erroneous'' and launching a counter complaint against her daughter for fraud and breach of contract.
