Juicy Couture Founders Stepping Down Sales Has Dropped Drastically

Juicy founder Gela Nash said, “We stayed seven years, which is a long time.” Cofounder Pamela Skaist chimed in saying "We want to bust out and do everything.” She also said that the two have been working on a TV show, a movie and a book.

The New York Post, however, suggests a different reason to their departure: Nash-Taylor and Skaist-Levy are stepping down because Juicy Couture isn’t doing well. Major retailers like Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s have cut back the floor space for the label and Juicy Couture’s sales dropped 7.8 percent in the third quarter.

Versace has announced that it will eliminate 350 of its 1,360 jobs, representing 26 percent of its workforce, worldwide starting in March and ending in June — part of a plan to return to profitability in 2011.

Fashion Week Daily writes that Rachel Zoe began masterminding a blacklist against her former assistant, after she resigned, claimed a well "placed source" (yeah sure).

Rachel basically wasn’t happy about Taylor leaving on her own terms and felt like she should have fired Taylor herself. There were a lot of emails and calls that were placed to big fashion houses with the intent of keeping Taylor away.

I personally believe that Rachel Zoe should have fired Taylor long before she resign. Taylor was like a cancer (awful attitude). I don't care how well she was at her job. She complain 90 percent of the time, and spent the other 10 percent being rude to coworkers. So if indeed Taylor is on a blacklist these are the reasons and not because of Rachel. Taylor was dumb enough to quit her job during a recession. She probably assumed job offers would be pouring in, now that reality has settled, blame it on Rachel.

Yves Saint Laurent Paris Apartment Is On The Market For 34 Million

The Paris apartment of the late designer Yves Saint Laurent is on the market for $34.6 million. Located in a 19th-century building in the city's 7th Arrondissement, the 5,600-square-foot duplex comes with a garden and courtyard. The designer began renting the apartment in 1970, bought it eight years later and lived there until his death last year, according to listing broker Anne de Cambiaire of Emile Garcin Paris.

Versace To Launch Mobile Phone For VIP Clients To Watch Runway Collection

Versace announced last week they would launch the Versace mobile phone in spring with select clients to be given a private showing during Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris this upcoming week. There is no word on which mobile phone provider Versace have teamed up with and whether it would have a touch screen. I'll bet my las two quarters this phone will be plushed out. Next month will be the last time the tents go up in Bryant Park; September 2010 Fashion Week will be centered at the Lincoln Center. While celebrating the move with the CFDA at DVF's studio, Anna Wintour said that she was ready to leave Bryant Park: “I’m looking forward to it. Fashion designer Tory Burch is selling her house in Southampton, N.Y., for $17.9 million, after agreeing to buy another home nearby. The 1980 oceanfront contemporary home on the market sits on 4.5 acres and measures 6,000 square feet. It has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a pool and 200 feet of ocean frontage. Tory Burch bought the property from her ex-husband, venture capitalist Chris Burch, for $22.5 million in July 2008, records show. Southampton officials then approved Tory Burch’s plans to tear down the home and replace it with a 7,100-square-foot, seven bedroom beach house. The property is being offered with the approved plans for a new house. In October, Tory Burch went into contract to buy a 25-room Georgian house in Southampton’s estate section.
