Kathy Kalesti, president and longtime business partner to Narciso Rodriguez, announced today that she will be leaving the company effective tomorrow. No reason has been given for her sudden departure. “Working with Narciso has been a great experience,” she said. Kalesti joined Rodriguez as senior vice president of sales and marketing in 1997, and took on the role of president of the company late last year.Kalesti is credited with aiding Rodriguez through his serious financial troubles in 2007, which ended his partnership with Liz Claiborne, and Rodriguez regaining full ownership of his brand).
