Tamara Mellon has been made a UK business ambassadors by David Cameron. She will be among 32 newly appointed ambassadors who will each use their international contacts to help promote UK business overseas.
According to the BBC, ambassadors are expected to hold government-requested meetings, to brief UK ministers on business priorities and to contribute to government discussions with world leaders. Other recruits include former Lloyds boss Sir Victor Blank and Brent Hoberman.
