Elle Magazine Sold For 500 Million

 Hearst (the company that owns Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire) is rumored to have purchased Elle Magazine this week at around $500 million, but it excludes ownership of the highly-profitable French Elle.  Meanwhile, the French traders felt the buzz last week, which drove up Hearst stock price.

Macys Crisis Sean John Fur Jackets Test Positive For Dog Raccoon

Macy’s has pulled from its shelves and website two styles of Sean John hooded jackets, originally advertised as featuring faux fur, after an investigation by the nation’s largest animal protection organization concluded that the garments were actually made from a certain species of dog called raccoon dog.


In a statement by Sean “Diddy” Combs released by his publicist Hampton Carney, the designer said: “I was completely unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy’s floor and Web site. I have instructed our outerwear licensee to cease the production of any garments using this material immediately.” Macy’s removal of the coats comes on the heels of other tests conducted by the Humane Society of the United States on a range of fur- trimmed jackets from retailers such as Burlington Coat Factory, Bloomingdale’s, J.C. Penney and Saks Fifth Avenue as well as from designers and clothing lines such as Baby Phat, Andrew Marc, MaxMara and Calvin Klein. Those tests revealed that most of the jackets labeled as “raccoon” or coyote” from China in fact contained fur from raccoon dogs. Of the 10 garments tested by the Humane Society, nine tested positive as raccoon dog fur and were mislabeled, a violation of federal law.

Despite Hermes Disapproval Louis Vuitton Buys More Of Herme's Shares

Global luxury retailer Louis Vuitton said Tuesday it had increased its stake in rival Hermes from 14% to 20%, after the Hermes family pleaded with Louis Vuitton not to do so.

Louis Vuitton said in a statement to the market regulator that as of Dec 17 it held 20.21 percent of Hermes after buying more shares on the open market. Louis Vuitton purchase it first shares back in October 2010.

Hermes is currently consulting with an attorney to remove its shares from public markets. The family said from now on they intend to sell privately. They better hurry for there is nothing left to sell lol. Louis Vuitton is shady.

Kate Moss is moving to an exclusive part of London's Highgate, in the north of the capital, having forked out £7.5 million (13 usd) on a new home.

She'll be moving near Jude Law and Sienna Miller, plus she won't be too far away from George Michael and Sting. Her new place includes a built-in granny flat, plus seven bedrooms reports the Sun.

Kate spent big money giving her old place a makeover after it was burgled, then flooded. But she still never quite felt at home there and called it her ‘jinxed house’, said a source.

French Vogue Editor In Cheif Resigns After Holding The Position For 10 Years

After ten years, former model/ editor in cheif Carine Roitfeld has resigned from her position at Vogue Paris. The editor, 56, will be leaving in January after ten years  to pursue personal projects (side eye).

I'm not so sure this is the real reason she is leaving but it will not be long before the truth reveal itself. Some in the industry believe it's "due to personal issues" but wouldn't elaborate. 


I nominate Sophia Neophitou to take her position. I like to refer to her as Anna Wintour Jr. She is the best and the brightest.
