Japanese fashion design firm Yohji Yamamoto Inc. said it had filed for bankruptcy protection Friday, marking the latest setback for high-end brands in Japan. The firm listed debts totaling six billion yen, or $67.8 million, according to a spokeswoman in Tokyo. The firm, which cited the soft global economy for the move, said it will continue to operate while under bankruptcy protection. -Bloomberg
