I have been in New York for the last couple of weeks, working on the magazine spring issue. A lot of our private shopping has been occurring after business hours. So by the time i arrive for the pick ups, it's dark out and shops windows are lit. So i took it upon myself to snap some photos for some fashion holiday cheer. I have more photos of Christmas windows i will post when i have some down time.

Burlington Coat Factory company has agreed to settle a long-running legal fight with Fendi, the Italian luxury-goods maker, over the sale of counterfeit handbags, wallets, and other items, Fendi said Wednesday.

Karl Lagerfeld Will Be Honored In New York City September 10
The Fashion Institute of Technology will be honoring Lagerfeld with a special Fashion Visionary Award on September 10, 2010 in New York City. Lagerfeld will attend the organization’s annual benefit luncheon at Avery Fisher Hall that day. “We chose him because he is just an absolutely outstanding designer, one of the greatest of the 20th and 21st century,” said Valerie Steele, director of The Museum at FIT. “He is not just incredibly respected within the fashion world, but also known to everybody and instantly recognizable.”
Karl Lagerfeld is in New York
Yesterday, Karl Lagerfeld was spotted shooting Freja Beha Erichsen and Abbey Lee Kershaw in Chanel around New York's SoHo and Lower East Side neighborhoods; today, Andre Leon Talley confirms that Lagerfeld is in New York to shoot both the Fall 2010 Chanel and Fendi campaigns.

CNN International sat down in Shanghai to talk with Karl Lagerfeld. He talks about his
almost 30 year tenure at Chanel and the upcoming projects that may be in store for the
iconic fashion house, as well as Fendi. He has contracts for life with both houses.
