Bravo Undecided On A Second Season Of Kell On Earth

Bravo is undecided on a second season of Kell on Earth. I must admit Kell On Earth was boring. I adore Kelly Cutrone but she was much more animated on MTV The City.

Kelly signed a "major deal in L.A. last week" for a "scripted network TV show," PRNewser reports: "I'm going to be executive producing and writing" she said. The show will be about the fashion industry. Cutrone will also be executive producing two other reality shows and will continue to appear on MTV's "The City," which returns on April 27th.

In the April issue of Vogue Andre Leon Talley name appears under "contributing editors," not "editor-at-large" as it did in the March issue. However, a Vogue spokesman told us, "There’s no more to the story than a title change." He added, "That’s just because he wanted to do more freelance projects."

Lindsay Lohan is no longer involved in Ungaro. The brand's "artistic advisor," who made fashion infamy last October when showing spangled pasties on the runway of one of the most storied couture houses in Paris, was unceremoniously dismissed from the fashion house sometime this week. Turns out, she wasn't even invited to the show, which was designed by Lohan's former collaborator Estrella Archs. Mounir Moufarrige, Ungaro's president and chief executive officer who hired Lohan last fall, resigned from his post in December.

French Vogue editor in chief Carine Roitfeld and her team were absent from Balenciaga front row Thursday. Turns out they were barred from the show. “We’re blacklisted,” Roitfeld told WWD with a shrug at Nina Ricci later in the day. “It’s too bad, it’s a beautiful house and it’s French. I hope that it’s not forever.” She noted Balenciaga no longer advertises in the magazine or lends it clothes, but stopped short of giving any reason for the rift. “Ask them,” she offered. A Balenciaga spokesman declined comment.

Tommy Hilfiger Is Up For Sale

American brand Tommy Hilfiger may be up for sale today, as the private equity firm which owns it, Apax Partners, has reportedly begun gauging interest in the company. The leading candidate to acquire the label is the Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, which also owns Calvin Klein.

The buy-out would give Phillips-Van Heusen control of Hilfiger's international network of retail stores and would give it a strong base across the numerous categories in which Hilfiger trades; including menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and fragrance. PVH already makes Hilfiger's shirts and neckwear under license, WWD reports.

Alexander McQueen Last Interview With Australia Harper Bazaar Magazine

McQueen on his Spring/Summer 2010 collection:
“I got the idea for them from H.R. Giger, and seeing Alien, and then I got a sculptor to make up a shoe so that it looked like it grew right out of the foot. Sick, ain’t I?
“The whole show was metamorphic. It was the reversal of one before that, which was Charles Darwin with the evolution of the species. This was the reverse: instead of Darwin’s theary that we come from the sea, we made it that we come from the land and go back into the sea.”
McQueen on his most recent boyfriend:
“A bastard who went back to Australia, and I was left looking at his name,” he grimaces, pointing to a name tattooed on his right arm. Which he then turns down when I try to read the moniker and keeps that way until the end of the meal.
McQueen on his work:
“I am married to work”, though id he wants to disparage someone he calls them a :stitch bitch”. Nor has he any interest in taking over another famed house such as Hermes or Chanel. “Been there, done that,” he remarks in reference to his stint at Givenchy which ended nearly a decade a ago. Louis Vuitton is suing Hyundai for using its logo in a car commercial that aired during Super Bowl XLIV, the most watched sports even in U.S. television history.

The logo appeared only briefly, showing up on a basketball handled during a pickup game - one a several scenes that juxtaposed the ordinary with the luxurious.
