Six years after meeting at Vogue magazine's annual Costume Institute gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, David Lauren and Lauren Bush were engaged Friday night in the museum. According to the NY Post David proposed to Lauren inside the museum around eight in the evening, and the happy couple was then seen arm-in-arm getting into a hansom carriage. Lauren was spotted sporting a round brilliant diamond ring. And if Lauren takes David's name she could have the most iconic name in the city, Lauren Lauren.

Minimalism is not a term often associated with Ralph Lauren, whose densely propped flagship store in Manhattan’s Rhinelander mansion has inspired legions. But when he first commissioned the late decorator Angelo Donghia to design the Fifth Avenue duplex where he and his wife, Ricky, raised their family, Lauren said he was motivated by the “simple, almost primitive desire for clean, open space.”

Now, more than 30 years later, he’s finished a renovation that has made the place even more clean and open. Three bedrooms that belonged to his now-grown children have been repurposed; spatial variety was added by incorporating steps to create different levels, making the space seem even larger. “The changes were subtle, but important,” he says. “They really modernize the apartment.” They also involved gutting it and starting over. “There was more than one moment when I asked, Oh, God, what did I do?” he says, laughing. But this wasn’t the first time. During the initial renovation, things got so fraught, he says, he “ended up going to the hospital for a day of rest.” Read more.

Ralph Lauren Will Launch His 13,000 Square Ft Boutique In Paris This Month He Will Also Open His Second Restaurant "Ralph's" In Paris

Polo Ralph Lauren will be unveiling its store on the Boulevard Saint Germain in Paris this month. The store will be one of the company’s largest stores in the world. The store 13,000 square-foot setting will be home to a premier assortment of Ralph Lauren collections as well as the impressive restaurant “Ralph’s” the very first Ralph Lauren restaurant in Paris. His first restaurant was launched in Chicago, to make reservations or view the menu click here. I had the opportunity to have brunch at Ralph's last year and the lobster bisque and clam chowder was amazing.

The building is a hôtel original Parisian townhouse done on a grand scale. Built in the mid-1600’s, it features classical French architecture in limestone with rich carving and ornamentation, accented with wrought-iron balcony railings.

The Ralph Lauren ad to the right has cause such as rawkus, that Ralph Lauren has issued a statement. Oh, and the women groups was on his ass (lol). A spokesman for Ralph Lauren said last night: "For over 42 years, we have built a brand based on quality and integrity. After further investigation, we have learned that we are responsible for the poor imaging and retouching that resulted in a very distorted image of a woman's body. We have addressed the problem and going forward will take every precaution to ensure that the calibre of our artwork represents our brand appropriately."
