Steve Madden Takes Over Betsey Johnson Defaulted Loan

Steve Madden has taken over a $48.8 million loan for Betsey Johnson, that is currently in default. SEC documents filed Thursday show that if this loan is not paid by August 20, 2012, Madden will end up owning the Betsey Johnson's name and property. 


I love Betsey and wish her the best. There is no Betsey Johnson without Betsey's spirit and energy. The good news is Betsey will add cosmetics to her resume. There is a high anticipation for Betsey Johnson's cosmetic line so maybe it will help pull the company out of it's slump.

American Apparel Employee Found Dead At The Company Los Angeles Headquarters

An American Apparel employee was found dead at the company's downtown Los Angeles headquarters yesterday, adding yet another misfortune to the clothing retailer's ever-growing list of public relations woes.

County coroner officials identified the deceased as Danarichie Lyndon Sindo, a 44-year-old native of the Philippines whose Facebook page says he worked as a data analyst for the company since 2008.

Details are still scarce, but LAPD spokesman Lt. Andrew Neiman confirmed to Gawker that Sindo reported feeling sick and vomiting before leaving to "get some air" on the roof. He "then went back inside and eventually went either into the bathroom or locker room and later was discovered deceased." According to a source, the body was discovered around 5 p.m. in one of the building's fifth-floor restrooms. Read more.

Juicy Couture Dropped From Sak Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman And Neiman Marcus

According to WWD  Saks Fifth Avenue dropped the Juicy Couture line at the New York flagship for fall; Bloomingdale's flagship cut way back on its Juicy department on the contemporary floor; Nordstrom passed on the apparel line for fall; Bergdorf Goodman no longer carries the line, and Neiman Marcus has dropped the line in several stores, such as White Plains, N.Y. and Beverly Hills.


I personally believe the 2010 Fall/Winter Collection is bigger and better but due to the past collections sales failure, these are the repercussions. I'm not going to read into this to much because Juicy is Juicy it can't be replaced and has a huge core following. They will rebound.
