Burberry Stocks Skyrocketed After A Undisclosed Investor Offers To Buy Them Out For 10 Billion

Shares in Burberry jumped as much as 6.5 percent to a new high on last Wednesday, with traders citing talk of bid interest from a secret buyer, for the luxury goods group.

Traders in London and Frankfurt said there was talk Burberry was offered a bid at 1,500 pence per share (10 billion) for a possible buy out. They gave no further details. At press time Burberry had no comment (a sign that the rumors are true).

Bobby Brown founder, along with her husband Steven Plofker and personal trainer Mark Cohen, is the new owner of 3Sixty Cycling Studio gym. The gym sits next to her studio in Montclair, New Jersey. Brown and her partners are planning to expand the gym. When the gym relaunches it will offer services such as  zumba, power yoga, forza and pilates. The gym will not require membership fees (gym goers can buy their classes).

Moda Operandi promises to make collections from design houses including Thakoon, Proenza Schouler, Prabal Gurung, Narciso Rodriguez, Vera Wang, Alexander Wang and Giambattista Valli available for purchase to the public, within 48 hours of the runway show.
Members will order with a 50% deposit, and the clothes will be manufactured and shipped in roughly four months. Consumers can return clothes that don't fit or are otherwise unsatisfactory.
The venture is the latest attempt to end-run the six-month lag fashion designers typically face before their runway looks arrive in mainstream stores.

Bedbugs Closes Juicy Couture Store

Bedbugs were found in the two-story retail shopping area of the Juicy Couture store at 650 Fifth Ave.
The store was closed Tuesday and is to reopen before the end of the week, said a spokesman for Juicy Couture, a division of Liz Claiborne Inc. "Eradicating the problem completely is the primary concern," the spokesman said, adding that an exterminating company "will be taking everything out of the store and treating" the merchandise.
